For JPG files, remove the saved location while keeping supported camera details. This also removes some other descriptive information and the small preview stored inside the file. To remove more information, choose “Remove all photo details”. Visible landmarks and text remain.

More about checking before you share

Check the downloaded image before you use it. Removing saved details does not remove faces, landmarks or written information that is visible in the picture. Some HEIC files cannot be converted.

Downloads keep part of the original filename, so rename the file before sharing if the name is private.
