Terms.
The deal, in plain words.
These terms apply when you use nerds.click, create an account or buy something. Last updated 1 November 2026.
Who you are dealing with
nerds.click is the trading name of the business that runs this website. Contact: support@nerds.click.
Free tools
The PDF, image and QR tools and the standard sign templates are free to use, for personal or business use, without an account. They run in your browser. Please test anything important: check a merged PDF before you send it, and scan a printed QR code with more than one phone before you print a thousand of them.
Accounts
An account is free and lets you save designs and keep a record of the codes you make. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account. One account per person; you must be 16 or over.
Plans and prices
- Just this design: £3.99 once, for full editing of one saved design, with repeat downloads of that design for as long as you have an account. A copy counts as a new design.
- Single Editable: £14.99 for one year, paid once. 1 editable QR code and 1 hosted page, with scan statistics and optional weekly summaries. Standard sign templates only (no full editing). It does not renew unless you choose automatic renewal at checkout or later in “Manage billing”.
- QR Plus: £4.99 a month. Full editing for all your designs, 10 editable QR codes and 3 hosted pages, with scan statistics and optional weekly summaries.
- QR Pro: £8.99 a month. The same with 25 editable QR codes, 10 hosted pages and campaign comparisons.
Prices are in pounds sterling. We may change prices for new purchases; a change to a monthly plan you already have takes effect from your next renewal and we tell you by email at least 30 days before.
Paying, renewing and cancelling
Payments are taken by Stripe. Monthly plans renew automatically each month until you cancel; the yearly plan ends after its year unless you have chosen to renew it. Cancel any time from “Manage billing” in your account: your plan keeps working until the end of the month you have paid for. After that, your editable codes keep opening their last destination for a further 30 days, without changes or new statistics, and then show an “inactive” page. Your saved designs and anything you downloaded stay yours; full editing and editable codes need a plan.
If a renewal payment fails, our payment provider tries again three days later and then up to three more times over about three weeks, and we email you each time. Everything keeps working for 10 days from the first failed attempt; from day 10 your codes keep forwarding but cannot be changed and scans are not counted until a payment succeeds. If no payment succeeds within 30 days of the first failure, the plan ends as above.
Refunds
If you cancel a monthly plan part-way through a month, we refund the unused part of that month, worked out by the day, to the card you paid with. The one-off design purchase is looked at case by case: email support@nerds.click within 14 days and tell us what went wrong. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including the 14-day cancellation right where it applies, are not affected by anything on this page.
Editable QR codes: what you may point them at
An editable code forwards to a website you choose. You must not point a code at scams, phishing, malware, illegal content, or anything that deceives the person scanning about where they are going. Destinations may be checked automatically and anyone can report a code. A code that is flagged or reported can be paused while we look; you are told by email and can ask for a review from your account. We may end an account that is used for abuse. Paying for or renewing a plan does not lift a safety pause.
Printed codes point at our short-link address, so they only work while this service runs and your plan is active or in its 30-day period. If we ever had to close the service, we would give account holders at least 60 days’ notice by email so codes could be replaced.
Your content
You keep all rights to your designs, logos and pictures. You confirm you have permission to use what you upload. You give us only the permission needed to store it, show it to you and produce your downloads. Designs made from our templates are yours to use and print; the templates themselves stay ours.
What we promise, and what we don’t
We work to keep the service running and your data safe, and to make the downloads match the preview. We cannot promise that every QR code scans on every device and print, that a destination website is safe, or that the service is never interrupted. Where the law allows, our responsibility for any loss connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing here limits responsibility for death, personal injury or fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that matter to account holders, we email you at least 30 days before they apply; continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts there, without affecting your rights as a consumer where you live.
